New poll results show that the more Hoosiers know about their governor’s plans to expand the welfare state through ObamaCare’s Medicaid expansion, the less likely they are to vote for him for President in 2016.

Hoosier Poll: Gov’s ObamaCare Medicaid Expansion Sours

More Knowledge about Pence’s Medicaid Expansion Increases Opposition among Political Base

INDIANA – The conservative spark that powered Mike Pence’s political rise has turned into a flicker of big government in the eyes of many Hoosier Republicans after the Governor’s flip flop to embrace ObamaCare, an about-face that could derail a 2016 presidential run before it even begins.

A poll of 580 Republican voters in Indiana, commissioned by the Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA), confirms that the more Pence’s base learns about his ObamaCare Medicaid expansion the less they like it, and the less they like the idea of him as their next president.

“Mike Pence might be getting high-fives and fist-bumps from President Obama for his Medicaid expansion plan, but his voters in his state are scratching their heads wondering what happened to the principled anti-ObamaCare crusader they elected governor,” said FGA CEO Tarren Bragdon.
